My making process manifests a kind of ritualistic behavior and involves the unconventional use of ordinary materials. My process becomes evident in my art object, especially in the form of site-specific installation. I reference home, or a specific physical location, by repurposing domestic objects or emphasizing a spaces architectural elements. Ones ritual process includes daily routines and common habits even those viewed as mundane. These familiar actions help one become comfortable within the world. Contrarily, the feeling of everyday may lead to complacency. I aim to examine our ritualistic tendencies through use of both the familiar and the unexpected within object or atmosphere.
